Daughtry and Underwood Win Big at AMAs


The American Music Awards took place in Los Angeles last night, with American Idol alums taking Chris Daughtry and Carrie Underwood taking home three awards each. Justin Timberlake took the Favorite Male Pop-Rock Artist and and Favorite Soul/R&B Album, Fergie earned Favorite Pop-Rock Female Artist, J.Lo took Favorite Latin Artist, and Linkin Park rounded out the big winners with Favorite Alternative Rock Band.

Performances included Duran Duran, performing new and old hits “Falling Down” and “Hungry Like the Wolf,” Celion Dion with new single “Taking Chances,” Beyonce with a country version of “Irreplaceable,” Avril Lavigne, Lenny Kravitz, Rihanna and many others.
